Schloss Grabow is said to have been built on the foundations of a former manor, whose roots date back to the 15th century. Between 1700 and 1770, the original core structure was constructed by Generalmajor Christoph Heinrich von Grabow. From 1790 to 1808, the manor house was expanded on the park side with a two-story annex by Chamberlain Heinrich Leopold August Graf von Blumenthal. Access to the park was facilitated through the winter garden, which was built by Martin Richnow around 1907. Between 1912 and 1914, the architect Paul Schultze-Naumburg (1869–1949) redesigned the castle.
